This was an amazing gig in Gateshead’s Café 16 – the Carter Sampson trio were so class, and, yknah, who else gets an opportunity to have a coupla beers and ciggies with folks from Oklahoma, then get soaked on the way back home to Longbenton? 🙂 Very grateful to Shippy for the privilege and the pleasure – and nice to tell the stories of the High Bridge love-locks, the lost community of Piper Well Gate, and the witch burial beneath the Sage to a more than indifferent bunch of folks
