The Truffle Valley Boys are a quartet with a mission: to bring back the raw, powerful and authentic sound of the early years of Bluegrass music – no compromises. The group draws its repertoire and sound from some of the more obscure Bluegrass groups of the 1950s – defining years for this musical genre, which developed as a branch of Country music, strongly influenced by Gospel, Swing and Blues, and played an important role in the birth of Rock-A-Billy.
They perform authentic Blue Grass in the most uncompromising way, around a single microphone and using period instrumentation, with the utmost attention to musical and aesthetic details, a fiery drive and a healthy dose of good-natured entertainment!
Since founding in 2014, the band have appeared at most major Bluegrass, Country and Rock-A-Billy music festivals and events in Europe, and travels thousands of miles each year just touring.
They have been featured in the foremost trade magazines of the field, such as Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Today, and their records have received enthusiastic reviews and airplay on radio stations all over the world.
Since 2019, the band is even featured in a permanent exhibit on international Bluegrass at the Bluegrass Music Hall Of Fame And Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky USA !
The Truffle Valley Boys’ show is a real throwback to era gone by, and their music is a tribute to the genuine, raw and powerful sounds of the more obscure regional Bluegrass acts of the 1950s…ooops….and their from Italy !!!!!!!
