This is our 39th Anniversary show . Both OMITF & Serious Sam Barrett did a marvellous gig together here in Feb for their album launches. So we have invited them back for this very special event.
Saltburn’s finest songsmith Alex Ellis (Our Man In The Field) launched his debut proper album “Gold On The Horizon” on Decor Records in 2024. With his full band up again from London with Henry Senior (pedal steel, dobro), Greg Bishop (drums, harmonies), Raul Biancardi (synth) and Luke Ydstie (bass) they’ll be playing songs from the album & a winning combination of indie-folk and Americana with significant soulful country vibes akin to the likes of Ray LaMontagne, Damien Rice and Lambchop. They will be off the back of a full European tour opening for Chuck Prophet.
Our good friend from Otley Yorkshire, Serious Sam Barrett had a new album out in 2024 too. However it didn’t make the N/cle show in Feb as the vinyl was delayed. So we have taken the chance to bring Sam up to toon again.
“A Drop Of the Morning Dew” is Sam Barrett’s 8th Solo album and was recorded live at the famous “Bacca Pipes” Folk club in Keighley in January 2023. The album contains material drawn from Sam’s 20 years of touring and writing songs as well as two previously unreleased tracks.
